Board Chairman Emeritus
Stephen joined the company in 1972 and most recently served as Board Chairman. He served as president from 1994-2016, and CEO and President from 2016-2021. Stephen has deep experience in virtually all aspects of the family business, from feed mill operations and pullet management to package design and engineering. Stephen earned his associate degree from Michigan State University in grain elevator management. His industry affiliations include Director of Midwest Foods Association; Chairman of Eggland’s Best, Inc.; Chairman of Eggland’s Best, LLC; Director of United Egg Producers; Past Director of Michigan Allied Poultry Industries; Director of the American Egg Board; member of the Consumer Marketing Committee; and a past member of Ionia County Economic Alliance.
CEO and Chairman
After completing a bachelor of science in Poultry Science from Michigan State University, Greg became a full-time employee of the family business in 1979. Today Greg leads the family business as CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board where he leads all divisions, nine million hens and a team of 900 employees. He is responsible for financing, product marketing, human resources, client sales and distribution. Greg oversees all operations: Main Farm (2.5 million hens), Hennery (2.8 million hens), Chickery (1.5 million pullets), Green Meadow Organics (2 million hens) and feed mill operations. Additionally, Greg administers all nutritional programs, contract specialty egg production (1.6 million hens) and feeding programs, flock welfare, health and vaccination programs, biosecurity and site security, environmental programs, and waste management programs. He is involved in the United Egg Producers, the Midwest Food Association, is a previous member of the American Egg Board and the former President of Michigan Allied Poultry Industries.
President
Herb Herbruck is an owner, and President of Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch, Michigan’s largest egg producer specializing in organic and cage-free eggs. Herb is responsible for day to day operations of shell egg and egg product processing and distribution. He also designs and oversees the construction of expansion projects; including permitting, settling in baby chicks, robotic automations and landscaping of the grounds. Herb has designed several innovations in hen living systems and is the strategist behind the holistic integration of raising pullets, egg production, egg grading and distribution. He regularly works with local municipalities to improve community infrastructure; including road projects and a sewer line initiative that brought city sewer to dozens of rural neighbors. Herb is motivated by his responsibility to his employees, customers, and consumers to continue innovating and reaching a higher standard. Herb has previously served as the Vice President of Michigan Allied Poultry and is the former Chair of the Michigan Employers Association. He enjoys working alongside his siblings, children, nieces, and nephews in their family operated business.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Stephanie recently joined the company in early 2022 and is responsible for leading the Human Resources team and ensuring Herbruck’s is a healthy and productive workplace. Stephanie earned her Master’s in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University. She came with a plethora of experience, including X-Rite, Pantone, and the Vice President of Human Resources at Danaher and Hewlett-Packard. She enjoys making it known that Herbruck’s is a great place to work.
Vice President Compliance, Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs
Dan is a compliance professional with 20+ years of food industry experience who is skilled at managing projects and designing and implementing management systems by developing collaborative partnerships both within the organization and with external partners, including regulatory authorities, to improve animal welfare, food safety, and quality, environmental and occupational health, and safety outcomes.
Dan has a BS in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University and has spent his career in the food and beverage industry as a Plant Engineer; Safety, Environmental and Security Manager; Regional Environmental Manager and is currently the Compliance Director at Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch responsible for compliance with environmental, worker health and safety, food safety and quality, and animal welfare rules, regulations, and third-party standards, e.g. SQF, non-GMO Project, etc. Dan is a Certified Safety Professional and Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Michigan.
Vice President of Retail Sales
Doug has worked his entire career in the egg industry. He began his career while still in high school and continued while attending Davenport College for two years in management. Douglas has worked in every aspect of egg processing and marketing and after 30 years working in Sales & Marketing, Doug joined the Herbruck team in 2006. Doug is currently a board member for Egg Clearing House and along with sales, he manages all longs and shorts of eggs.
Chief Financial Officer
David joined Herbruck’s in 2017. Prior to joining Herbruck’s David spent his career as a finance executive for manufacturing companies in Michigan, Georgia, and most recently as Chief Financial Officer for a company in New York. David has worked in a wide variety of industries including automotive and building products for private equity owners. David completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and resides in Grand Rapids.
AVP – Processing and Operations
Cody has over twenty years of experience in the Poultry Industry and is responsible for overseeing four processing plants, ongoing projects, capital expenses, sustainable energy and reducing Herbruck’s overall environmental footprint. As a fourth-generation Herbruck, Cody began working with the company at a young age. Throughout his teenage years, Cody worked part-time, and following his graduation with a Bachelor of Economics from Hope College, he began working full time. Cody led the Herbruck’s solar project at Green Meadow Organics that brings clean energy to the community and our farm; because of his efforts, Herbruck’s was able to recycle over 12,731 tons of materials in 2021.
Community and Public Relations Manager
Amy also began working at Herbruck’s at a young age. Her main responsibilities include reviewing requests for egg or financial donations, managing community relationships, promoting the company’s involvement in the community, and ensuring Herbruck’s is seen as a leading employer in the area. When she graduated from Kensington University, CA, with a Bachelor of Psychology, she pursued career opportunities in Florida, Illinois, and Grand Rapids, MI. These experiences include office management, customer service management, account relationship management, and public relations management at companies such as Tortuga Imports Inc., KNOX Nursery, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, and Stratford Safety Products. Amy is passionate about connecting relationships between Herbruck’s and the community and donating to local charities. Recently, Amy was appointed to the American Egg Board of the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an alternate, representing Michigan’s poultry industry internationally.
Data Analyst
Like his fellow fourth-generation cousins, Vince grew up working on the farm. He serves as data analyst in our day-to-day operations and plays a pivotal role in modernizing our operations. He leads the transition of equipment from caged egg layers to cage-free environments, and advancements in animal welfare and farm efficiency.
Feed and Fertilizer Business Unit Director
Brennen has been with the company for over 11 years and has been in the poultry business his entire career. Brennen is the Feed and Fertilizer Business Unit Director responsible for important branding, sales and distribution initiatives for Nature’s Supreme, Herbruck’s line of organic fertilizers. Brennen is also a coder and enjoys spending time on the computer developing new technical solutions for Herbruck’s.

Director of Fulfillment
Jake also grew up working part-time at Herbruck’s. After earning his Bachelor’s in Business Management, Jake began working full-time at Herbruck’s. His primary responsibilities include managing relationships between Herbruck’s sales team and operations departments, developing solutions with operations departments to meet customer needs, and managing the flow of new and existing egg and fertilizer products internally and externally. Jake has spent over ten years in the poultry industry and is passionate about maintaining Herbruck’s position as a leading egg producer in Michigan.
