Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch hosts blood drive
Employees donate blood to save lives amid the critical need for donations
Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch, a fourth-generation family farm, hosted a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Thursday, March 18, its third blood drive this year while the Red Cross is in critical need of donors.
“At Herbruck’s, we’re proud and honored to be able to provide opportunities for our employees to be good neighbors and help save lives,” said Amy Herbruck, marketing and community support manager at Herbruck’s. “We’re impressed with our team members who have helped with blood and platelet shortages during this very challenging time.”
The Red Cross has a constant and ongoing need for blood and platelet donations. The Red Cross tests all blood, platelet, and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies and follows safety guidelines during blood donations.
Blood drives are part of Herbruck’s ongoing commitment to being a good neighbor, as well as its donations to Feeding America, Toys for Tots collections and other giving that supports local organizations. Herbruck’s will hold its next blood drive in June.
