Blue Springs Egg Farm Groundbreaking

2021 is off to a rolling start in Pennsylvania as the dirt started to move on our new facility in Mercersburg, Blue Springs Egg Farm.

The new facility, situated on 335 acres, will consist of eight barns, an egg processing plant, and a manure (litter) pelletizing/storage building when completed. When fully operational, Blue Springs Egg Farm will add more than $100 million in economic development for Franklin County and provide hundreds of new jobs as we build the business.

Helping to move the dirt is none other than Rose Plummer, our Regional Project Director, in her signature pink helmet. While she has been with us since 2015 and handled many projects with outstanding results, this is the first time she has operated a bulldozer to help out. Fortunately, it was a wide-open field, and the professionals gave her a wide berth, so she had a little more of a safety net than usual!

We look forward to the future that Blue Springs holds for our new neighbors and us.
