Herbruck’s highlights annual egg donations, support for local communities

SARANAC, Mich. – Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch donated nearly 2 million eggs in 2024, providing delicious nutrition to communities across Michigan and Pennsylvania. The egg donations are in addition to numerous items and funding donations to local organizations that help people in need.

“At Herbruck’s, we believe in being a good neighbor to the communities we serve, and our egg donations are one way we can show our commitment to this promise,” said Jake Herbruck, director of fulfillment at Herbruck’s. “We are proud to help ease some of the burdens faced by those around us through our egg donations and other donations throughout the year.”

Herbruck’s has donated around 2 million eggs annually to various groups, and this year contributed 162,500-dozen eggs to various agencies, including Feeding America West Michigan, which provides hunger relief resources to communities.

“On behalf of the families we serve, we are deeply grateful for our partnership with Herbruck’s, which provides nourishment and comfort to families facing food insecurity,” said Kenneth R. Estelle, president and CEO of Feeding America West Michigan. “Together we are helping make a difference for families across Michigan by providing access to delicious, nutritious eggs.”

Throughout the year, Herbruck’s also made financial donations to organizations in Michigan and Pennsylvania, where it operates Blue Springs Egg Farm. These donations support veterans, first responders, young people interested in careers in agriculture, education and community activities, as well as those struggling with food insecurity. Herbruck’s also donated organic, nutrient-rich fertilizer made from hen waste to Grand Rapids-based Kids’ Food Basket to help grow the produce they use to provide access to nutritious meals for children around West Michigan.

Leadership and Herbruck’s team members are also involved in various community boards including those covering the agriculture industry, Habitat for Humanity, the Ionia County Economic Alliance and more.
