SARANAC, Mich. – For 68 years, Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch has brought wholesome goodness into the world, producing delicious and ethically sourced eggs made with the highest standards of quality, animal care and sustainability.
From its humble beginnings in 1958, when the fourth-generation family business was founded by Harry and Marilyn Herbruck as an egg processing and distribution network, Herbruck’s has grown into the largest egg producer in Michigan that serves retailers and food service outlets across the United States.
Headquartered in Saranac, Herbruck’s today is operated by third- and fourth-generation family members who put the values on which the company was founded into action every day. Care for hens, the environment, the surrounding communities and families guide business decisions, ensuring egg-laying hens, land, air, water and neighbors are treated with respect.

Herbruck’s flock began with 3,000 hens in the 1950s. Today, the flock has grown to more than 11 million hens that produce more than 3 billion eggs every year. The business has also expanded and created hundreds of good-paying jobs with Blue Springs Egg Farm, a sustainable cage-free egg-laying facility in Pennsylvania, and the new Kendallville plant in Indiana, where local Indiana eggs are processed. Herbruck’s is also celebrating the four-year anniversary of Blue Springs Egg Farm this month.
