KENDALLVILLE, Ind. – Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch a fourth-generation family business and one of the country’s top egg producers, is building a new egg processing facility in Kendallville that will create 60 local jobs.

The 75,000-square-foot facility on Weston Avenue will result in a more than $20 million economic investment in the Kendallville community and greater region. It will process about 420 million eggs annually. Herbruck’s plans to begin processing eggs at the facility in spring 2026 and is hiring now for jobs at the plant.

“At Herbruck’s our values guide us and help ensure we treat our environment and communities with respect while supplying our customers with delicious, high-quality eggs,” said Cody Herbruck, associate vice president of operations. “Our new Kendallville plant will increase our egg processing capacity to meet customer demand, allow for the local processing of Indiana farm eggs and distribute eggs directly from the site to our customers. We are excited to be part of the Kendallville community and thank local leaders for their support.”

“Herbruck’s is a family-owned company built on generations of hard work, and they’re making a long-term investment in Kendallville that will bring good-paying jobs and new opportunities to the area. This new facility will leverage Indiana’s role as the Crossroads of America to help Hoosier-grown products reach customers across the Midwest,” said Indiana Governor Mike Braun.

Herbruck’s received Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) tax credits from the State of Indiana for the project due to its creation of jobs.

Founded in 1958, Herbruck’s is headquartered in Michigan and is a leader in the poultry industry as the largest egg producer in the state, with additional locations in Indiana and Pennsylvania. The company supplies billions of farm-fresh eggs to retailers and food service outlets across the country.

Herbruck’s has a long-standing history of demonstrating its commitment to employees and the communities it serves and has been recognized as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the United States for the last three years by the National Association for Business Resources.

All Herbruck’s team members enjoy a comprehensive health care plan, 401(k) and competitive pay and rewards. Kendallville employees and their dependents will also have telehealth access to Herbruck’s Employee Wellness Clinic.
