Herbruck’s sponsors annual Toys for Tots gift collection

SARANAC, Mich. – Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch is again helping local children have happy holidays by sponsoring Ionia County Toys for Tots, the annual collection of gifts and essentials for distribution to local children who might otherwise go without gifts during the holiday season.

“Herbruck’s is incredibly proud of our partnership with Ionia County Toys for Tots, and of our team members and leadership who donate toys and essential items for families in our community,” said Herb Herbruck, president of Herbruck’s. “Our hope is that all families in our community can have happy holidays and have what they need during the holiday season.”

Herbruck’s employees and leadership donated and collected about 1,400 toys and gift items for local children since October. Herbruck’s also helps the effort by sponsoring two major items needed by Ionia County Toys for Tots, including propane used to heat the sorting space and bags for sorting the thousands of toys that will be distributed to local children.

“Herbruck’s has been a huge supporter of Toys for Tots, graciously sponsoring our program and collecting toys from each facility,” said Mamie Thayer, coordinator of Ionia County Toys for Tots. “Herbruck’s has also provided a monetary donation so we can purchase toys for the ages that aren’t commonly bought for, like babies and preteens, and funding to offset costs of bags and copy paper that we use for the gifts.”

Residents, companies and organizations can donate toys or essential items, as well as make financial contributions to Ionia County Toys for Tots that will help the organization continue to spread holiday cheer to local families.

All gifts collected for Ionia County Toys for Tots will be distributed from 9-11:45 a.m. and 1-5 p.m. on Dec. 16, at 50 E. Sprague Road in Ionia. More information can be found on the Ionia County Toys for Tots website.
