Herbruck’s donates over 1.6 million eggs during 2020

Poultry farm steps up donations due to COVID-19 pandemic

SARANAC, Mich. – Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch today announced it has donated more than 1.6 million eggs in 2020, which surpasses amounts donated by Herbruck’s in past years, to help families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“COVID-19 has affected so many of our local families, and we want to do what we can to support our neighbors,” said Herbruck’s President Greg Herbruck. “By donating eggs to food banks, we have been able to help ensure families are still getting nutritious food during an extremely challenging time.”

Typically, Herbruck’s donates about 1 million eggs per year. Herbruck’s donated hundreds of thousands of eggs to local and regional charities like the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and Feeding America West Michigan, and those in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, where Herbruck’s will open a sustainable cage-free egg-laying facility. Herbruck’s has also given employees over 146,000 eggs this year.

Aside from eggs, Herbruck’s has amped up its charitable giving this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, donating funds, providing sponsorships and giving supplies like masks, hand sanitizer and wipes to local organizations and causes.

Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch is a fourth-generation family farm based in Saranac, Michigan. Herbruck’s is the largest egg producer in Michigan and has locations in Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania. For more information about Herbruck’s, visit: www.herbrucks.com.
